Last night, the Illinois Policy Institute and the Bureau-La Salle Tea Party hosted a candidates' forum where we discussed a wide range of topics, from health care to corruption to the state's budget. Unfortunately, Steve Kim decided not to attend, having more important business with the press in Chicago. If he had been there, he might have been able to answer some of our questions, including:

1. Why did the Republican Party work so hard to limit voter choice in Illinois?
2. Why has the Republican Party failed to reduce taxes and limit spending, even during times when they had full control in Springfield?
3. Give Lisa Madigan's nearly certain victory in this race, why should voters choose to vote for Steve Kim over a true defender of liberty like Bill Malan?

Thanks to everyone who made that event possible. Click here to see our pictures from last night.
